| Greetings from the Yellowhammer State! This week I'm enjoying the warm weather and lower gas prices of the great state of Alabama. As you might have noticed, it's been quite awhile since my last entry. Between multiple issues with my computer AND cell phone, I just haven't been able to keep up. Things are better now though and I should have some good entries on the way in the coming months. |
| At the last minute I got a call to work at the Star Dome in Birmingham, AL, and jumped at the chance. This is one of the premier comedy clubs in the country. Last time I was here I had a great time and sold lots of merchandise and this week was no different! |
| This place is amazing because it is showbusiness done at it's very best. The "club" is more of a theatre that seats at least 500 people. What's more impressive is that they pretty much pack the place on a nightly basis. The people are always friendly and receptive. The shows were good and I sold A LOT of merchandise and am very happy I made the 5-hour drive South from Louisville. |
| It's Thursday night here in Birmingham and I'm finishing this up before I hit the road. I'm on my way out to Council Bluffs, Iowa, to work a corporate gig. It's going to be a looonngg haul so I'm getting started tonight. As for my time in Birmingham, it was excellent and I can't wait to return. If you're ever passing thru, I would highly recommend you stop in and catch a show. You will have a good time. Until next week Danny :-) |
