BRANSON, MO
JUNE 25-30
Greetings from the Show-Me State.  I'm pretty sure they call it that cause
every 15-minutes on the interstate you pass another adult "bookstore".
Needless to say, it took me a looong time to get to the hotel.
Starting now, I'm making the Chronicles more interactive for your viewing
pleasure.  Have fun with it and
let me know what you think.
This week I'm working in Branson, MO.
Branson is located in the SW part of the
state and is the "Live Show Capital of
the World."  The town was named for
Rueben Branson, operator of a general
store in the area in the 1880s. Now it's
a large tourist trap with lots of live
music theatres and clubs that cater to
families and old people.
I've been a little nervous about this
week because I was required to keep my act
rated-G. As it turns out, that was easier
than expected which has made the week go
great.  I'm working in the hotel,
The
Lodge of the Ozarks, which is fairly nice.
It's located across the street from the
Jim Stafford Theatre and close to
everything else, including the
Titanic
Museum.
There's A LOT to do in this town.
Shopping, water parks, restaurants and
every kind of live show you can
imagine...and I didn't do any of it. I
pretty much took walks and hung out in
the hotel pool.  However, if you have a
family, or you're old and looking for
something to do, I highly encourage you
to come to this town.  Just don't get
stuck at a "bookstore" on the interstate.
Until next week...
Danny :-)
