CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH
JAN 2-5, 2008
  Happy New Year!  This week I'm working in the Buckeye State.  This is my
first week back after having the holidays off. I have a feeling I'm going to be
a little rusty but am anxious to get back to work.  I'm also drinking lots of
water this week in an attempt to flush my system of 10 days of holiday gluttony.
I'm working in Cuyahoga Falls, north of
Akron, at The Funny Stop. I have never worked
here before and it's exciting to start the
year in a new place. It's about 5.5 hours
away from Floyds Knobs, which is a plus since
gas prices are skyrocketing. The club houses
the comics in a small apartment near the
club. The place is a dump but it keeps the
cold air out. I was lucky enough to stay in
"The Beaver Suite"
Usually, the weekend after New Year's Eve
can be slow which happened here. The people
that did show up were interesting to say the
least. Sometimes they would laugh &
sometimes they wouldn't. The staff and
owners are friendly & the food is good. On
Friday night, I got to smell the chicken
wings when one of the servers dropped a
plate full of them nearby.  My new jeans got
sauced.
The second show on Saturday ROCKED. It was the
perfect ending to a sub-par week. I'm not sure
if I'll ever be back at The Funny Stop but am
certian that I'll never forget it. I got paid
in cash which was also a good ending. I'm
driving home tonight as soon as I'm done with
this.  Next week I'm headlining in Iowa and
Indiana.
