Greetings from the Wolverine State!  I'm no stranger to working here but it seems
like I'm always here during the winter.  I almost forgot what a beautiful state Michigan
is during the Spring.  It's been a busy past few days with LOTS of driving...which is
unfortunate since gas prices are soaring.  However, this is big week for me and I'm very
much looking forward to it.
My week actually began last Saturday when I
performed at a high school after-prom in
Elgin, NE.  All that I can tell you about
Elgin is that the people are nice and it's
close to Johnny Carson's hometown of Norfolk.
It was exciting to be there and to see the
sign.  However, up close, it was kinda sad to
see that Johnny had bird-crap all over his
face.
I finally arrived here in Michigan and am
happy to be here.  The name of the club is
"Dr. Grins" which is located downtown in the
B.O.B. (Big Old Building)  The shows went
pretty well but the audiences seemed extra
sensitive.  They had a tendancy to "moan" at
jokes for no reason.  However, my main
objective was to have good shows in front of
some powerful comedy booker types which I am
happy to say I did.  If I can start getting
more work then this will prove to be a
successful week.
This week ended up being a little
bittersweet. I had some quality shows but a
less than average week in the merchandise
department.  That really sucks since gas
prices here are so incredibly high.  I don't
have time to think about it though.  I have
one day off and then have to work in Alabama
on Monday night.  From there, I'm going to
Florida.
Mom...can I borrow some gas money?

Until next week…
Danny
WOW.  I'M FINALLY HERE...
