| Greetings from The Sunflower State! It's super hot this week, 99 degrees today, and the air conditioning in the comedy condo isn't working properly. As a result, I'm going to hurry this entry along because I'm hot, cranky, and want to go stick my head in the freezer. |
| This week I'm in Overland Park, which is located on the SW side of Kansas City, and is the second most populous city in Kansas. I'm working at a new club called Famous Johnny's. I'm not sure where the name came from, but they did have a wall with pictures of nothing but famous guys named Johnny, including Carson, Depp, and Appleseed. |
| For the weekend, my girl Mander and her parents made the drive down from Omaha. We spent Saturday afternoon stuffing our faces at Kansas City's best BBQ place, Gates BBQ. The line was long but it was well worth the wait. I got the "Burnt Ends on a Bun" which was amazingly good. From now on, anytime I'm passing through town, Gates will definitely be a required stop. |
| I'm now back home, and very tired from this week. The club didn't have very many audience members which made most of the shows very boring. It was also my worst T-shirt selling week in recent memory...which sucks since I have next week off. One highlight was going to Kansas City's amusement park, Worlds Of Fun with Mander.
