ROCHESTER, MN
OCT. 25-28
Greetings from the Land of 1000 Lakes! (And several dead deer on the side
of the road...)  This week has been quite interesting to say the least.
Wednesday and Thursday I performed in Steven's Point, WI, and Mankato, MN.
Both nights were "hell-gigs" in that the audiences were small as well as the
laughs.  Good news is I got paid for the hell.  Bad news, most of it went to
support the local breweries.
This weekend has proven to be a lot
better than earlier this week.  I am
working in Rochester, MN which is located
in the South-eastern part of the state, not
to far from the Twin-Cities.  The hotel is
nice and I have a good view, not to
mention, I figured out a way to get free
parking while I'm here.  (Hotel charges $7
per day)  I would like to share my secret
with you but have been sworn to silence by
the Rochester Secret Police.
The club is equally as nice and I must say that
I'm pleasantly surprised.  It's upstairs from
McGoon's Taxi Company, a cool little pub
located right downtown.  The audiences have
been very receptive & friendly, and the food is
great.  McGoon's Taxi Co. was originally
established in the 1920's as a bus and taxi
service that also offered sight-seeing tours of
the Rochester area.  It was owned by Howard
McGoon
With this being the weekend before Halloween
everybody was in a festive mood, including the
staff.  The guy pictured actually shaved his head
so he could be Mr. T.  I was so impressed, that
I'm dedicating myself to growing a "fro" so that
I can do the same thing next year.  Goonies
Comedy Club is a really nice place and I'm
looking forward to returning.  Hopefully I'll
still have my "free-parking" hookup.

Until next week:
Danny
