ROCKVILLE, IN
AUGUST 18, 2006
Greetings once again from the Hoosier State!  The bad news is that this
week I am working on Friday only.  The good news is that I am HEADLINING!
This is a special event that I was specifically asked to do & have been
looking forward to for some time.  Special jokes have been written and a lot
of preparation has gone into it.  With that said, let's hope I don't bomb.
I am working at the Rockville Elks Lodge
in Parke County, Indiana.  Rockville is
located about 45 minutes East of Terre
Haute and is the Covered Bridge Capital
of the World.  (It's not Vegas but it'll
do.)
I featured here a little over a year ago
and they are having me back to headline.
I get free food & drinks and will be
getting paid a lot more money than usual.
I heard that Parke County is the most rural
county in the state of Indiana & after
spending some time here I believe it.
There is nothing going on anywhere except
for trees growning & the rain coming down.
There is a heavy Amish population here as
well.  On the way in I got stuck behind a
buggy carrying an entire Amish family.  I
don't really know a lot about the Amish
except that they use horses for everything
and are pretty good cooks.  (I just hope
they don't use the horses while cooking!)
Overall, the show went great.  I forgot
some of my new jokes new jokes and the Elks
got pretty intoxicated but it was still a
good time.  However, on my way back to the
hotel, some kid ran a red light and I
couldn't avoid hitting him.  So for the
rest of the night I stood out on the street
and dealt with that crap.  The good news is
that I was able to drive my car back to the
hotel.  The other guy had to have his towed
away.  Chalk one up for the ole' Malibu!!

Until next week
Danny :-)
SPOOKY IN THERE!
