ST. LOUIS, MO
SEPT. 15-16, 2006
Greetings from the "Show-Me State!"  I can already tell you that I didn't
do much this weekend.  Just lots of sitting around the room reading, writing,
and watching cable.  I'm exhausted. I did take a long walk on Saturday
afternoon which was great.  It helped me relax for naptime.  :-)
This week I'm in the STL, otherwise known
as St. Louis.  I've been to this town many
timew before and am pretty familiar with
the area.  Union Station is a cool place,
the Zoo kicks ass, and this city has some
of the most loyal baseball fans I've ever
seen.  It's also the home of the might
Arch...a cool place to visit once.
Anything after that and it's just boring &
more boring.
The club is a beautiful little place named
"Laughs on the Landing."  The name comes from
the club's location in Lacledes Landing, a
historical entertainment district near
downtown.  The show's went as well as could
be expected with small crowds on Friday but
Saturday was really fun.  The room itself
looks like a comedy club/coffee shop.
Couches & coffee tables lined the stage,
making it a very intimate room.  It's the
ideal place for stand up comedy.
One of the best perks of this week was the
hotel, The Embassy Suites.  They had happy
hour from 5-7 everyday which included free
food and cocktails, not to mention a breakfast
buffett in the morning like nothing I've ever
seen before.  The view from my room however
left a little to be desired.  All I could see
was a parking garage being built and part of
the hotel's roof that had more cigarette butts
than the bleachers at a high school football
game.  Oh well...did I mention the free
cocktails???
Until next week
Danny :-)
