GERMANTOWN, WI
JULY 20-22
Greetings from the Dairy State!  This week I’m working in Germantown, a
small rural community on the North side of Milwaukee.  I have been looking
forward to this week.  Last time I was here I accidentally broke the
microphone, which is a comedy no-no.  I bought another one gave to the owner
on Thursday.  Brownie points for me…
This is the first time that I’ve ever
worked here during the summertime and enjoyed
it a lot.  This state is really pretty when
the flowers are in bloom, a refreshing change
from the piles of snow that will soon be
here.  Also, with the summer heat, all of the
locally brewed beers that I “sampled
went down extra smooth.  My favorite was â
€œSpotted Cowâ€ which is a cask conditioned
ale made in New Glarus, WI.  It was the
tastiest beverage I’ve ever had.
The shows were great this week too.  Every
comedian has certain rooms he works where
the audience completely relates to every
word that comes out of his mouth.   Giggles
Comedy Club in Germantown is that place for
me.  The people were friendly, receptive
and very ready to have a good time.  After
the show, they would line up to say hello
and buy merchandise. (Which I sold out of!)
If every comedy club in America were like
Giggles, this business would be a lot
easier.
It’s a good thing that I did so well
selling merchandise this week because the
gas prices are at an all time high,
especially here for some reason.
Fortunately, I haven’t had to move my car
all week.  I am convinced that I would be a
rich man right now if not for the oil
companies putting it to us.  The worst part
is that until summer is over, prices will
continue to go up.  It looks like the
Greyhound bus is in my future…ugh.
Until next week
Danny  :-)
